The sound-insulating overhead doors of Protec Industrial Doors are tested and certified by Peutz as complete door structures. As a result, Protec Industrial Doors has sound-insulating overhead doors with Rw values of 38 dB, 45 dB, 48 dB and 50 dB, in accordance with EN-ISO 717. The applicable European standard for sound-insulating doors is EN-ISO 10140-2 (formerly known as ISO 140-3).

These sound-insulating doors are used in buildings such as power stations, noise-producing industries, sewage treatment plants, test rooms, theatres, live music venues and other cultural centres. As a result, our consultants are highly experienced in these projects and can advise you, take care of all the details and act as a specialised discussion partner for your building team.

In consultation with the engineers of Protec Industrial Doors and an acoustic consultancy firm, the certified sound-insulating doors can be modified to suit any desired sound level (dB) at all specific octave bands. This makes it possible to develop and manufacture sound-insulating doors that specifically attenuate extra high or extra low tones.

All door properties can be combined in a single certified door. The sound-insulating overhead door, for example, can also be designed as a fire-resistant and burglar-resistant version.
