No risks are taken with regard to fire safety. Certification in the field of fire resistance is therefore strict and highly important. This is because it provides a guarantee for the performance of fire-resistant overhead doors and, as a result, for part of your building’s fire safety.

There are many forms of fire resistance, all of which have different classifications of fire resistance. Protec Industrial Doors continues to innovate and develop in this regard. As a result we can offer you very high fire resistance classes for our fire doors: EI1-60 (60 minutes) and EI1-90 (90 minutes).

There are several classifications that are linked to the performance of overhead fire doors. Each classification describes a different performance in the field of smoke resistance, thermal insulation and obviously the fire resistance itself. The fire-resistant overhead doors of Protec Industrial Doors are tested in accordance with current European regulations, EN1634-1. These fire doors are certified to the highest possible classification: EI-1 in accordance with EN 13501-2.

Legally speaking, even the smallest modification of the door structure voids the certification of the overhead door in question. However, Protec Industrial Doors is capable of developing, testing and certifying the fire-resistant doors on a project basis.
